His areas of special interest are gastrointestinal oncology, hepatobiliary, pancreatic, and biliary tract tumours, colorectal malignancies, minimal invasive procedures, and liver transplants. He has an overall experience of 13 years in the respective field and has performed more than 2000 complex gastrointestinal procedures. He has been trained at the prestigious Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGIMS), Lucknow.  Apart from expertise in complex surgeries, he is highly interested in academics.
